Re: Star Wars: Rebels
It would be nice to get some measure of closure on her storyline.

Do we know exactly how long after Episode III this series takes place?

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
As someone who grew up with Star Wars, who learned to view the world in relation to Star Wars, who felt closer to Luke and Leia and Han than to most family members, ...I just wish it would all die already. The magic is gone now. The last time I saw a Star Wars movie in the theater (RotS), I nearly puked from embarrassment. I can't even relate to some of my lifelong friends who gush over the clone wars or the novels or whatever shit is still leaking out of Lucasfilm these days. I still love the original trilogy, but I know it's mostly out of nostalgia, and I will never be able to see it with the same wonder and imagination I had back before the prequels, tie-ins, crappy games, crappy series, etc.

That's an increasingly common attitude these days. There's still the occasional bright spot for SW fans, a really good episode of TCW, an Aaron Allston novel, a game that doesn't completely suck, but there getting fewer and farther between. Since Mercy Kill isn't likely to get a sequel, i've basically sworn off buying anymore of the books, I don't hold out much hope for Rebels, and i'm seriously considering not seeing the ST in theatres. Star Wars was a helluva ride while it lasted, but it's almost entirely burned out at this point. Something really good is going to have to come down the pipe for me to get invested in it again.
